Poetry: In N.S.E....

   Today we worked on our poems. We are now seeing how difficult it is to write a poem like "In Flanders Fields." We are writing lines that have eight syllables in each line, and we are trying to duplicate the rhyming pattern that poet McRae did in his poem. It is ok if you have to change the rhyme pattern, but you must keep the syllable pattern.
  We will work on this poem again tomorrow in class, so if you don't finish it tonight, you can finish tomorrow in school.
