It takes more than one or two drafts. Every time you read your story, you can add to it or take from it. Cross out anything that does not please you. Sometimes the story takes an unexpected change of direction. You may end up writing something that you did not originally plan. That's fine. You are the author. The story is your creation. You may do with it as you wish. Keep changing it until it makes you happy.
Keep in mind the guidelines. Your teacher is expecting a lot of dialogue! Your characters should speak a lot in this story. Describe your characters and develop them (That means give them a personality).
This story is due on Thursday.
Don't forget to study Spelling List #2 and Parts of Speech definitions. Those quizzes are scheduled for Friday.
