Adverbs modify verbs, adjectives, and other adverbs. The last two days we have been putting practice sentences on the Smartboard and circling the adverbs. We then have been drawing arrows to the words they modify. It's been real and it's been fun...but it hasn't been real fun (lame joke). The truth is that we need more practice before we start doing worksheets that will be graded.
Today we also watched a short video about a woman named Pam Laffin. We will be doing our next informative writing tomorrow in class, and we'll be using information from the video we watched today.
