Boomwriter's response to the problems we've encountered

Hi Mr. Kessler,

Thanks so much for using BoomWriter!

We are, however, sorry to learn you're students are encountering some difficulty with the registration process. This is not a common occurrence, so we're not sure what it is they are encountering. Perhaps their activation emails are getting hung up in their spam folders? Would it be possible to capture some screenshots of where they are having trouble, which could help us diagnose the problem for your students?

There is, however, an alternative to setting up accounts in this fashion. BoomWriter does allow teachers to create student accounts without the individual having an email address (this feature was created at the strong urging of many teachers on our site). Simply log in, go to 'Students' and then click on the 'New Student' button. Here you can enter the student's first and last name, and our site will generate a user name for you. You provide a password, and the account is ready to go! It should take no more than 15 seconds to create a new account. In your case where there's a lot of students, this might not be appealing. However you only need to do this one time for each student, and these individual accounts stay with the students as they continue up through the grades. Having said this, you should definitely get the teachers in the preceding grades setting up accounts for their students. :-)

Let us know what will work best for you, but again please send us those screenshots if you'd like to stick with the current plan. We're always happy to help!

Thanks again and all the best,
The BoomWriter Team
